Metal armor sits at the shoulders and elbows, CE Level 2 protectors cover the back and thighs, and external knee sliders take the ground contact so the leather doesn't. What the Blacked-Out Build Changes

Nothing structural. The protection package is identical to our brighter Corse colorways: same top-grain cowhide, same metal armor placement, same CE Level 2 back and thigh protectors. What changes is visibility and wear. Black leather hides scuffs, boot marks and chain lube far better than white or fluro panels, so a suit that has seen twenty track days still looks presentable in the paddock. The trade-off is daylight visibility on public roads, which is why the red flank stripes and white sleeve branding are there. If your riding is mostly street and low light, run a hi-viz vest over it.

Fit and Sizing Before You Order

Race cut means tight on purpose. A one-piece is measured for a rider folded over the tank, not standing upright in a mirror, so the first fit will feel aggressive in the shoulders and short in the torso. That is correct. Check your body measurements against the size chart rather than ordering by jacket size, because street jackets are cut two to three inches looser through the chest.

Is this an official Ducati suit?

No. This is a Turbo Race Gear suit produced in our own facility in the Ducati Corse colorway, and it is not manufactured, licensed or sold by Ducati Motor Holding. The construction is the same standard we apply across our full race line: top-grain drum-dyed cowhide, metal armor at the impact zones, CE Level 2 back and thigh protection, double-layer vented leather and safety stitching through every seam that touches the ground. The graphics and panel layout on this model are fixed and ship exactly as shown in the photos.

Will all-black leather run hot on a summer track day?

Warmer than a white suit in direct sun, yes, but the build compensates more than the color costs you. The leather is double-layer air-vented, there is a 3D air vent panel moving air across the torso, and the mesh lining pulls out entirely for hot weather sessions. The bigger heat problem on track is standing around in the pit lane fully zipped, not riding. Unzip to the sternum between sessions, pull your arms out at the grid, and hydrate properly. Riders in black leathers race in Texas and Florida summers without issue.

Can I ride this on the street or is it track only?

You can ride it on the street, and the black colorway is the reason most people choose this one over the red and white version. It looks far less like a costume off the bike. What it will not do is make you comfortable in traffic. A one-piece has no waist zip, so you are in it or out of it, and the race cut fights you at upright riding angles and at low speed. For canyon runs, track days and Sunday sport riding it is the right call. For commuting or touring, buy a two-piece.

Does it include a back protector, and can I add a chest protector?

Yes on the back. CE Level 2 back protection is included, not a foam placeholder, and it is sized to the suit rather than sold as an upsell. The thigh protectors are also CE Level 2. There is space at the chest for aftermarket inserts if your track organization requires them or you simply want the extra coverage, and most standard-format chest protectors will fit the pocket layout. If you race under a licensing body, check their current homologation list before your first event, since requirements change season to season.
